Bridge 5 25

UPDATE: HENDERSON, Ky. (5/25/18) — A man who jumped from the top of the southbound Henderson twin bridge this afternoon was taken by ambulance to an Evansville, Indiana medical facility for treatment.

A city fire and rescue boat retrieved the man from the Ohio River and took him to Angel Mounds boat ramp.

Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office and an AMR ambulance were waiting at the dock. The individual’s condition is unknown.

HENDERSON, Ky. (5/25/18) — Emergency crews have responded to the southbound twin bridge in Henderson, where a man has climbed the top of the structure.

Southbound traffic came to a standstill around noon today. Rescue boats are in the water below.

At 12:17 p.m., Henderson Fire Department was dispatched to the bridge with a ladder truck.

The sheriff reported the man has not jumped. A driver called authorities to report they saw the man climb over the railing.
