UPDATE: HENDERSON, Ky. (6/7/18) — Henderson County emergency crews were dispatched to a one-vehicle accident involving multiple people injured this afternoon.

Henderson County Sheriff's Office deputies reported responders were dispatched to the 5000 block of Kentucky 283 near the Henderson-Webster County line for a single-vehicle accident just after 4 p.m. today. While responders were on their way to the scene, they were informed by Henderson dispatchers that one of the juveniles was unresponsive and not breathing.

When crews arrived, they found a blue minivan driven by a man identified as Deland Hager, 36 of Henderson, according to the report. He ran off the road and crashed into a ditch.

HCSO reported Gena Hager, 35 of Henderson and three juveniles were also in the vehicle. One youth was flown by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana for treatment of injuries. Deland, Hager and two other juveniles were taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital in Henderson for treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Information on the conditions of those injured was not available.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (6/7/18) — Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident with injuries on Kentucky 283 near the Henderson-Webster County line.

At 4:38 p.m., a medical helicopter was transporting one patient. It is believed one adult and three children are being treated for injuries.

Robards, Niagara and Poole fire departments, Henderson EMS, Henderson Rescue Squad and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies are working at the scene.

Kentucky 283 near the county line is closed.
