HENDERSON COUNTY Ky. (8/5/18) — The driver of a Jeep escaped serious injury today after encountering a vehicle hauling hay bales on the highway near Niagara in Henderson County.

Kentucky 425, between Kentucky 1299 and U.S. 41 South, was closed for more than an hour this evening, while crews cleaned up the mess.

Several loose bales of hay were seen scattered along the road. No information regarding the incident, which happened around 6 this evening, was available.

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated.

Niagara and Cairo fire departments responded. Emergency workers assessed one person that received facial injuries, but the individual declined ambulance transport.
