DRUG ARRESTS HANDCUFFS 300HENDERSON, Ky. (12/9/18) — Henderson County authorities reported investigating illegal drug activity at a motel parking lot over the weekend involving methamphetamine. Three individuals were arrested and taken to Henderson County Jail.

Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force detectives and Henderson County Sheriff’s Office deputies reported recovering an ounce of meth with a street value of $1,200 Friday evening in the vicinity of True Vine Plantation Inn off U.S. 41-N.

Kindra E. Towery, 30, and Bobby Joe Riley, 32, also known as Ricky Bobby of Sebree, were arrested after undercover officers made a meth buy at the motel, according to a HCSO report. A third person was seen in a parked vehicle outside the room identified as 27-year-old Steven Michael Scott of Henderson.

Scott was arrested after telling officers he did not know who the vehicle belonged to during the investigation, HCSO reported. Detectives found a baggie containing crystal meth and digital scales in his coat pocket. The jacket was in the vehicle.

In addition, detectives indicated finding meth on Riley along with a black handgun, which turned out to be a BB pistol.

Towery, Riley and Scott were each charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth-more than 2 grams). Scott was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
