Accident 2 11

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (2/11/19) — Emergency and rescue responded to a two-vehicle accident involving injuries shortly after 1 p.m. today along Interstate 69 near Robards.

Robards Fire Department crews extricated a man from a pickup truck, and took him to Methodist Hospital for treatment of apparent injuries. Another driver involved was also taken from the scene to the local hospital.

At approximately 1:37 p.m., northbound traffic at mile-marker 143 was reduced to one lane as workers clean up the wreckage. Crews are expected to be working in that vicinity for about an hour.

It is believed the truck was pulling an enclosed trailer hauling a classic car, when a Dodge Charger/Hellcat lost control in the lane next to the hauler. The Hellcat was seen in the median, about 250 feet south of the truck and trailer off I-69.

Robards Rescue Squad, Henderson Sheriff’s Office, EMA and EMS responded.
