ksp news 300HENDERSON, Ky. (4/11/19) — Kentucky State Police arrested a Georgia man at the Henderson Scale Facility 9:28 a.m. Wednesday for allegedly receiving stolen property.

KSP preliminary investigation indicates 39 year-old Teteraran Thompson of Conyers, Georgia, was operating a semi-truck through the Henderson Scale Facility, when he was stopped for a random inspection.

During the inspection, KSP discovered the trailer Thompson was pulling, a 2016 Fontaine flatbed, had no trailer registration plate, KSP reported. Inspector Matthew Lawson was unable to find the vehicle identification plate that had been removed. Once the trailer was identified, it was discovered the trailer had been stolen from Smyrna, Georgia.

Thompson was taken to Henderson County Jail and charged with receiving stolen property ($10,000 or more), obscuring the identity of a machine, no Kentucky motor fuel users license, operating with inactive/canceled or revoked motor fuel tax license, violation of IRP and violation of Part 393. 

Inspector Matthew Lawson is investigating and was assisted by Sgt. Brandon Goodman.
