UPDATE: HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (4/21/19) 9:44 p.m. — Just after 4 p.m. today, Henderson County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 5000 Block of Kentucky 145 near Corydon for a report of a two-vehicle collision with injuries.

According to a HCSO news release, a vehicle driven by Garrett Tapp of Dixon crossed the centerline into the oncoming lane and struck another vehicle driven by Brea Meadows.

Officials say Tapp and his passenger, Breanna Adamson of Sebree, had to be extricated from the vehicle. Tapp was transported by medical helicopter due to his injuries. Adamson was taken from the scene in an ambulance. Meadows was also transported via ambulance for treatment due to minor injuries.

Deputies reported they are unsure what caused Tapp to cross the centerline in to the oncoming lane prior to the head-on collision.

The Henderson City/County Rescue Squad, Corydon Volunteer Fire Deparment, Cairo Volunteer Fire Department assisted.

HENDERSON, Ky. (4/21/19) — Kentucky 145 near Corydon is closed as emergency personnel work to extricate victims of a two-vehicle collision.

The accident apparently occurred shortly before 5 p.m. Air Evac is on the scene and another air medical unit has been summoned. Officials say there are three patients, two of which are in critical condition.

Henderson Sheriff's Office, Corydon Fire Department and Cairo Fire Department and Rescue Squad and Henderson EMS are on the scene.
