Evansville TrioHENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (6/8/19) — Three Evansville, Indiana women were arrested in connection to a murder investigation that is currently being handled by Indiana authorities.

A body identified as Kimra M. Miller, who was found in a wooded area off Water Works Road in Henderson County Sunday morning, was murdered in Indiana, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office determined Friday following an autopsy.

As a result, two suspects, Ciarra M. Landfair, 31, and 27-year old Lakeysha L. Couto, have been charged with murder and obstruction of justice. Gracie M. Smith, 23 of Evansville, was charged with obstruction of justice and assisting a criminal in a murder.

Indiana authorities indicated Landfair and Couto were blaming one another for the murder and were with Miller during and after a May 26 fight that led to her death.

According to authorities, after Miller was killed, the suspects allegedly asked Smith to help move the body from a residence and dropped the body into a ditch north of Ellis Park in Henderson County.

A cause of death has not been released concerning the investigation. Circumstances surrounding the disturbance between the women are unknown. HCSO indicated after the body was discovered by a farmer in the field, detectives intitially believed foul play was involved.
