drugarrest 300 aMORGANFIELD, Ky. (6/13/19) — Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force consisting of Henderson and Union County Sheriff’s deputies in conjunction with Morganfield Police Department officers served a search warrant Wednesday night at a Morganfield residence.

According to PNTF, the warrant was served due to a number of complaints regarding drug trafficking at 709 W. Carlisle St. in Morganfield, prompting detectives to survey the area for several weeks.

A man identified as Lawrence McGuire, 43, was apprehended 6:30 p.m. Wednesday without incident, PNTF reported. The search resulted in the discovery of crack cocaine and powder cocaine on McGuire and a number of items associated with drug trafficking.

K-9 Aries also sniffed out a “large quantity of marijuana” in McGuire’s bedroom, the task force indicated.

McGuire was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine-more the 4 grams/second offense) and trafficking in marijuana.
