Crash 6 16HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (6/16/19) — Henderson County authorities are investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred earlier off the 9000 block of Kentucky 1078-N near the Baskett community.

According to a Henderson County Sheriff’s Office news release, deputies responded 1:30 p.m. today for a report of a vehicle on its top, with two people trapped inside.

HCSO indicated 80-year-old Henry Carman of Henderson was unresponsive inside the vehicle. EMS began to render aid to Carman, but his injuries proved to be fatal. He was declared deceased at the scene.

A woman identified as Linda Carman, 66 of Henderson, was able to get out of the vehicle with the help of bystanders, HCSO reported. She was taken to Deaconess Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Henderson County EMS, Baskett, Spottsville and Zion Fire departments along with Henderson City County Rescue assisted at the scene.

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (6/16/19) — Henderson authorities responded to the scene of a fatal crash this afternoon at the 9700 block of Kentucky 1078-N near the Baskett community.

At least one female has been taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, authorities report. That section of highway was still closed at 2:30 p.m. today.

It appears the vehicle went off the road and struck a driveway culvert, causing it to overturn on its top.

Baskett Fire Department, Spottsville Fire Department Rescue Squad and Henderson County Coroner’s Office also responded.

Henderson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
