asphalt2 kytrans 300HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (8/9/19) — State highway officials reported there is one-lane traffic open along the U.S. 60 work zone near the Henderson-Union County line through noon today.

Paving crews will be placing asphalt caps on new culverts, between mile-markers 24-26, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd reported. Caution is required along the work zone.

Over the next two months, workers are elevating U.S. 60 near Casey and Highland creeks by more than 2 feet at the lowest points to alleviate flooding.

The flood relief project is estimated to cost $2.5 million.
