traffic lightMADISONVILLE, Ky. (8/19/19) — A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans traffic signal work at intersections along U.S. 41-Al/U.S. 60/Green Street in downtown Henderson Tuesday.

Elliot Electric plans to place new signal heads at intersections along Green Street at intersections with Washington and Fifth streets starting 7 a.m. The work will require lane restrictions at these intersections from time to time, KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd reported.

These traffic signal upgrades are part of a Highway Safety Improvement Program project that includes work at a number of intersections and locations. Todd suggests drivers be alert for one-lane traffic at these locations during the day Tuesday. Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic.
