EZ ACESSHENDERSON, Ky. (9/16/19) — EZ-ACCESS is planning to expand its Alonga, Washington operations in Henderson that will bring additional jobs to the city.

Work has begun on the 50,000 square-foot building located on Klutney Park Place Drive, which will serve as an additional facility for EZ-ACCESS, a manufacturing company headquartered near Seattle, Kyndle Economic Development Nortwest Kentucky reported today.

In addition to its corporate location, the company also has a plant in Morganfield in Union County, which will continue distribution/operations and employment of approximately 70 people. Operations Manager Mike Willett states that opening the Henderson facility will bring a wide range of new manufacturing-related jobs to the area and also provide the company the extra breathing room needed to keep up with production demands. At its peak, the Henderson facility expects to employ approximately 35 people. Additionally, the company continues to expand in their current locations.

EZ-ACCESS, a division of Homecare Products Inc., is all about accessibility and serves the nation with a wide variety of access solutions for homes and commercial buildings. From modular and portable ramps to patient transfer and vertical platform lifts, along with multi-story custom stair systems, they provide residential, commercial, industrial, and recreational industries with the solutions they need to ensure durable, safe, and convenient access.

To help serve East Coast customers quicker with less transportation costs, the company opened their Morganfield location 10 years ago.

"We are extremely happy with our experience in the state of Kentucky and have decided to expand in the same region," said Don Everard, owner and CEO of EZ-ACCESS.

"EZ-ACCESS and the Everard family have become very important and respected members of the tri-county business community. We appreciate their confidence in both Union County and Henderson County and we look forward to continuing to do whatever we can for them to grow and prosper here," Henderson County Judge-Executive Brad Schneider stated.

"EZ-ACCESShas been a good citizen and a community asset in Union County for a number of years and we are very happy to welcome them to Henderson," said Henderson Mayor Steve Austin. "They have been very successful in their product manufacturing, and, the bonus is, their products are extremely helpful to their customers."

The Henderson plant is expected to focus on production of the company's aluminum commercial line, including its TITAN™ Code Compliant Modular Access System as well as the FORTRESS®OSHA Stair System. Production of residential ramps will continue to be done in Morganfield, company officials said. Staffing for Henderson is set to begin by the end of October and full production is anticipated to be in place by the first of the year.

"The Henderson location will provide EZ-ACCESS quick interstate accessibility to meet their customer demands for the two product lines they will bring to this location" said Tony Iriti, Kyndle CEO. "We are happy to welcome EZ-ACCESS to Henderson."
