weather 300 DWESTERN Ky. (2/10/19) — Bridges have reopened in the Henderson and Daviess county areas this morning due to icy conditions.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd reported the U.S. 41 twin bridges in Henderson were closed due to numerous crashes. Crews have applied salt to melt icy roads, especially on raised surfaces.

Todd said salt trucks were out treating bridges and slick spots in Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, Hopkins, McLean, Ohio, Union and Webster counties at 7:15 a.m. McLean and Hopkins crews were mainly treating bridges and overpasses. The radar showed freezing rain mostly in Union, Webster, Henderson McLean, Daviess and Hancock counties earlier.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect through noon today. Ice accumulations were expected to be less than an inch.

Temperatures are expected to rise this morning. In addition, the National Weather Service in Paducah reports a flood watch has been issued for the entire region as 2 to 4 inches or more rain is anticipated through late Monday night.

KY 1452 is closed at the 0.0 to 1.9mm- signs posted
KY 1637 is closed at the 0.0 to 2.9mm- signs posted
KY 667 is closed at the 0 to 11.2mm- signs posted
KY 667 is closed at the 11.2 to 16.5mm- signs posted

Webster County
KY 270 is closed at the 7 to 8.3mm- signs posted
