coleman 1GRAHAM, Ky. (12/26/17) — E’dythe Teague Coleman of Graham has seen 107 Christmases in her life. Born Dec. 20, 1910 in Nortonville, she was 14 pounds at birth and one of 11 children of Will and Ollie Teague.

She married James E. Coleman Dec. 24, 1932 in Rockport, Indiana, moved to Graham and has spent the rest of her life in the area.

She joined Yeargins Chapel Church in 1934 and has served in several capacities in the church including Sunday school teacher for 45 years. She continues to make baby quilts for various needs.

Dec. 21, friends and relatives gathered in the Yeargins Chapel fellowship hall to celebrate Mrs. Coleman’s 107th birthday. State Rep. Melinda Prunty attended and presented her with a plaque from the Kentucky House of Representatives.

coleman 2Mrs. Coleman continues to walk a half mile a day as weather permits.
