ksp1 logo 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (3/2/19) — KSP Post 2 Madisonville reported the following February activity:

• Arrested 18 impaired drivers
• Issued a total of 801 citations
• Issued 246 speeding citations
• Issued 36 seat belt citations
• Issued 5 child restraint citations
• Issued 337 courtesy notices
• Investigated 20 traffic crashes
• Assisted 115 stranded motorists
• Responded to 384 calls for service
• Opened 25 criminal cases
• Made 119 criminal arrests
 
**One fatal crash was reported in the Post 2 District in February
• One, single fatality crash in Todd County on U.S. 68
 
Through Feb. 28, there has been one person killed in the Post 2 District: zero victims were not wearing a seatbelt, zero victims were wearing a seatbelt, one victim seatbelt was unknown, zero victims were not wearing a helmet (motorcycle), zero victim was wearing a helmet (motorcycle), zero victim helmet was unknown (motorcycle), zero were bicyclists and zero victims were pedestrians. Zero fatality crash involved the suspected use of alcohol.

Post 2 serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd and Webster.

**These statistics are still preliminary as KSP waits for all local law enforcement agencies throughout the state to report any crashes and fatalities that may have occurred in their areas.
