• Hopkins County Farmers’ Market will open for the season on Saturday, May 28, 7 a.m.-12 p.m., Hopkins County Fairgrounds, Arch St., Madisonville.

• There will be a Memorial Day Wreath Laying Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m., at the Madisonville Veterans Memorial Park, 505 North Main Street, Madisonville.

• The James Larmouth Family Resource Center Advisory Council will meet Tuesday, May 31 at noon in the Center located behind Earlington Elementary School.

• There will be a special called meeting of the Hopkins County Board of Education on Tuesday, May 31, at 5:00 p.m., Central Office, 320 S. Seminary, Madisonville.

• There will be a joint meeting of the Tourism Council Committee and the Tourism Advisory Board scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, 6 p.m., city hall conference room, 67 N. Main, Madisonville. city hall conference

• Baptist Health Madisonville will host a blood drive Wednesday, June 1, 2-7 p.m. Holy Cross Catholic Church, 730 N. Highway 41, Providence.

• The City of Madisonville and Community Improvement Foundation of Madisonville and Hopkins County will host a kickoff for the America in Bloom beautification project Thursday, June 2, 11:30 a.m., Montpelier Park on Sugg Street. • Hanson City Council meets the last Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m., Hanson City Hall, 30 Sunset Road, Hanson.

• The Public Library Development Foundation will host Flamingo Fun, through June 27. Flocks of flamingos are available for birthdays, events, or just for fun. Flocks of 20 are available for $25, 30 for $40 and businesses may flock themselves for $5 per flamingo. Flocks will stay up for one week. Proceeds will support the Hopkins County-Madisonville Public Library's wish list. Orders can be made at the library, Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce and Big City Coffee Shop.

• Hopkins County Community Clinic will have free health checks from 9 a.m.- noon on the fourth Tuesday of each month hosted by Kentucky Career Center, 56 Federal Street, Madisonville. • Hopkins County Community Clinic will offer free health checks from 9 a.m.- noon on the second Tuesday of each month at the Hopkins County Family YMCA, 150 YMCA Drive in Madisonville. • Hope2All Food Bank is open every Tuesday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. where food boxes are given out and is located on Main Street in Nortonville.

• Damascus Road House 10 Nortonville Rd, Nortonville is open from 6 - 9 p.m. the second, third and fourth Friday of each month. The Road House is a non-profit, non-denominational organization, and all area church youth groups are welcome and anyone between the ages of 12-19 is invited.

• Hopkins County Bass Club will meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m., Brothers BBQ, 1055 N. Main St., Madisonville.

• Hopkins County Senior Citizens Center will host a regular monthly meeting of the Hopkins/Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council at 9 a.m. the first Tuesday of every month at the HC Senior Citizens Center, North Main, Madisonville.
