rail roadHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (12/7/17) — The CSX Railroad Track Crew has finished work for this week, highway officials reported.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Spokesman Keith Todd said work is suspended until Tuesday, when CSX returns for another nine days of work.

Over the last several nights the crew has had some intermittent closures on Jones Road between Hanson and Slaughters due to equipment extending through the crossing. When the crew returns to work, CSX anticipates the following schedule:

Closure Tentative 6 p.m. Tuesday at 6 p.m. for about three days:
Joe Tippett Road just North of Hanson in Hopkins County

Closure Tentative 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14 for about three days:
Jones Road between Hanson and Slaughters in Hopkins County

Herron Street just north of Hanson in Hopkins County
Bill Doris Road near Diamond in Webster County
Kentucky 336/Grapevine Road in Hopkins County
Hawkins Lane in Hopkins County
Bean Cemetery Road in Hopkins County

Kentucky 502/Coiltown Road at Nebo in Hopkins County
Kentucky 293/Harmon Street Providence/Webster County
Bellville Road Providence/Webster County
Kentucky 120/West Main Street Providence/Webster County
Baptist Hill Road in Webster County
Luttontown-Lisman Road in Webster County
East Jefferson in Sebree/Webster County
Webster Street in Sebree/Webster County
Kentucky 56/Main Street at milepoint 12.359 in Sebree/Webster County
West Mill Street in Sebree/Webster County

CSX has indicated this tentative schedule may change from time to time. This work list is provided with the hope it will allow families who live near these crossings to be prepared for approaching closures.

CSX will attempt to provide appropriate schedule updates as the work timeline firms up.
