MPD graphicMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/2/18) — A Hanson resident allegedly selling illegal drugs from his vehicle along Raintree Drive was arrested New Year’s Day.

Madisonville Police Department reported responding to a 3 p.m. complaint Monday. Officers saw the four-door silver vehicle matching the description parked in a driveway.

Officers made contact with the driver, 22-year-old Joseph K. Martin, who was in the driver’s seat, according to the report. Police spotted a small bag believed to contain marijuana in the center console, resulting in his detainment.

After a search, police reported finding a Ruger handgun with a loaded magazine under the driver’s seat along with an extended magazine in the back seat, AR-15 in the trunk and $1,761 in cash.

In addition, police listed finding a joint, a back pack with two Mason jars filled with a green substance, seven empty jars with traces of marijuana and paraphernalia items including digital scales.

Martin was charged with trafficking in marijuana (firearm enhanced) and carrying a concealed weapon. He was released from Hopkins County Jail this morning on $2,000 cash bond.

Madisonville Police Department also released the following reports today:

Charles W. Humphrey of Earlington was charged Dec. 29 with four counts of failure to appear (Hardin County), theft by unlawful taking (under $500) and served two Hopkins County warrants on failure to appear.

Derrick E. Slaton of Madisonville was charged Dec. 29 with failure to appear.

Matthew W. Edwards, address unknown, was charged Dec. 29 with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and failure to pay.

Patty N. Tucker of Madisonville was charged Dec. 31 with failure to appear (Webster County) and failure to appear (Hopkins County).

Kali Jean Vertigan of Slaughters was charged Dec. 30 with disregarding a stop sign, first- and second-degree fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, possession of synthetic drugs and driving on a DUI-suspended license.

William H. Ruckert of Madisonville was charged Dec. 30 with first- and second-degree fleeing or evading police, disregarding a stop sign and driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Charles A. Self of Gilbertsville was charged Dec. 30 with failure to wear seat belts, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), third-degree possession of a controlled substance and contempt of court.

Mark A. Epley of Madisonville was charged Dec. 30 with failure to pay.

Buddy E. Marshall of Madisonville was charged Dec. 30 with failure to pay.

Ashley N. Ray of Madisonville was charged Dec. 29 with second-degree disorderly conduct and public intoxication (third or greater offense in 12 months).

Buddy E. Marshall, address unknown, was charged Dec. 31 with second-degree burglary.

Kristopher John Altamirano of Madisonville was charged Dec. 31 with failure to maintain required insurance, no registration plates and DUI.

Courtney E. Ward, address unknown, was charged Dec. 31 with public intoxication (excludes alcohol) and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Bobby A. Kittinger of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with failure to appear.

Vicki L. Morgan of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with public intoxication (excludes alcohol), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Landon Wayne Baize of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with DUI.

William W. Winstead of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with DUI (aggravated).

Patricia K. Morgan of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with failure to pay and two counts of failure to appear.

Ashley N. Ray of Madisonville was charged Dec. 29 with failure to pay.

Roger D. McCarty of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with resisting arrest and two counts of failure to appear.

Larry J. Wilson of Madisonville was charged Jan. 1 with third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, and third-degree terroristic threatening.
