Idea Competition Finalists 1 copyMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/10/18) — Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corp. announced it will bring together the five top high school students in Hopkins County to compete in the Idea Competition.

Finalists will compete for the $1,750 prize money by pitching their business ideas to a panel of judges 6 p.m. Friday, March 9 at the Kentucky Innovation Station in Madisonville.

The Idea Competition is an initiative of the EDC sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.

During the finals, students will have five minutes to pitch their business ideas plus field questions from distinguished judges.

Idea Competition Finalists are:

Rachel Carver – Madisonville North Hopkins High School
Kayleigh Brown, Haley Cope, Marian Bailey — MNHHS
Josh Plain — MNHHS
Houston Knox — MNHHS
Emily Couchman — MNHHS
