• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 2018 Annual Community Celebration is 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Eastview Missionary Baptist Church, 159 E. North St. in Madisonville.

• The 32nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Mayor's Memorial Wreath-laying Ceremony is 10 a.m. Monday at the Larry Carney Center, Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Madisonville.

• Oak Grove Baptist Church plans a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celbration at noon Monday, 309 Graves St., Madisonville.

• The Muhlenberg Coal Miners Clinic will perform black lung testing 9 a.m.-noon Monday. Baptist Health Hospice will present a program 11:45 a.m. Monday at the White Plains Center Citizens. Lunch will be provided. Call Spencer Brewer for information at 270-754-9317.

• Paragon of Madisonville will celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 1 p.m. Monday. The speaker will be Tim W. Thomas, First District commissioner for the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights.

• Hopkins County Schools will present the district’s Nutrition and Physical Activity Report 5 p.m. Monday, Central Office, 320 S. Seminary St., Madisonville.

• Hopkins County Board of Education meets 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Central Office, 320 S. Seminary St., Madisonville.

• Hopkins County Livestock winter meeting is 6 p.m. Monday at the Hopkins County Extension office, 75 Cornwall Dr., Madisonville consisting of a banquet followed by recognition of 4-H and FFA winners beyond the county level. • Southside Elementary School Site-Based Council meets 4 p.m. Tuesday in the school's media center.

• A free class on growing cabbage is 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hopkins County Extension Service, 75 Cornwall Drive in Madisonville. To RSVP, call 270-821-3650.

• Baptist Health Madisonville will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Madisonville Community College, 2000 College Drive in Madisonville.

• James Larmouth Family Resource Center Advisory Council will meets at noon Thursday.

• The CRISIS component of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program will continue through March at PACS, 130 Branch St., Madisonville. Call 270-821-8114 or 800-264-0643 for information.

• Kentucky Innovation Station will host 1 Million Cups, a free program to engage, educate and connect local entrepreneurs, with the goal to build a strong startup community over a cup of coffee and a conversation beginning at 7:30 a.m. the first Wednesday each month at Kentucky Innovation Station, 38 W. Arch St., Madisonville.

• An in-person assister (for insurance questions and enrollment) is at the PACS Assistance Center each Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., 130 Branch St., Madisonville. For an appointment call 270-348-0477, walk-ins welcome.

• PACS is now able to offer more seniors in need of services in their homes. Services include home-delivered meals, homemaking services, personal care and respite. For qualifications and information, call 866-844-4396.

• A free meal is available every Wednesday night and on the second, third, and fourth Friday nights of every month at the Damascus Road House youth center 10 Nortonville Rd. Nortonville, Ky. Meals are for ages 2-18 and the meal time is from 5:30-6:45 each evening.

• Pride Elementary Site-Based Council meets 3:30 p.m. each second Monday at the school.

• West Hopkins SBDM will meet at 3 p.m. the last Monday of each month in the WHS SBDM room, West Hopkins School.

• Earlington Elementary School Site-Based Decision-Making Council meets at 4:15 p.m., on the second Monday of the month at the school. Meetings move to the following Monday if there is no school that day.

• Hanson City Commission meets the last Tuesday each month at 6 p.m., Hanson City Hall, 30 Sunset Road, Hanson.

• Hope2All Food Bank is open every Tuesday 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Food boxes are given out, 92 N. Main Street, Nortonville.

• Damascus Road House, 10 Nortonville Rd., Nortonville is open from 6-9 p.m. the second, third and fourth Friday each month. The Road House is a non-profit, non-denominational organization, open to area church youth groups and those ages 12-19.
• Hopkins County Bass Club meets the second Thursday each month at 6:30 p.m., Brothers BBQ, 1055 N. Main St., Madisonville.

• Hopkins County Senior Citizens Center hosts its regular monthly meeting of the Hopkins/Muhlenberg Elder Abuse Council at 9 a.m. the first Tuesday every month at the HC Senior Citizens Center, North Main, Madisonville.

• Dance the Night Away at Pam’s Dance Barn, 35 Cedar Lane, Madisonville is every Saturday, 7-10 p.m. For information, call 270-836-4649.

• Hopkins County AARP meets the second Monday each month for a noon lunch at the Country Cupboard with a program at 1 p.m.

• Hopkins County Historical Society meets in the basement of the museum on 107 Union St. in Madisonville on the second Thursday every month at 6:30 p.m.

• Hopkins County Genealogy Society meets at the Judicial Center (old Post Office), 56 N. Main St., Madisonville, on the fourth Tuesday each month at 7 p.m.

• Nebo City Commission will meet the first Monday each month, unless a holiday, then the following Monday, 6 p.m. at the former Nebo School/Community Center.

• Madisonville Noon Kiwanis meets at noon every Friday, First United Methodist Church, Center Street, Madisonville.

• Calvary Temple Community is "Feeding the Hungry" every Sunday morning. Free breakfast is served from 9-9:30 a.m.
• Hopkins County Business and Professional Women's Club meets 6 p.m. the first Tuesday every month at Oak Ridge Retirement Center, 750 Dodson Lane in Madisonville.

• A Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs Field Representative will be at the Veteran’s Center from 9 a.m.-3:00 p.m. each Monday and Tuesday, 926 Veterans Drive Hanson. • “A Fistful of Colors,” coloring for adults, is held 4-5 p.m. by Hopkins County- Madisonville Public Library the last Friday each month, 425 E. Center St., Madisonville.

• West Kentucky Photography Club meets the first Monday every month at 7 p.m. in Room 214-215 Hatley Building, Health Technology Campus, 750 Laffoon Street, Madisonville.

• Light of Chance Breathe Youth Arts Program meets every Tuesday and Thursday, from 3:30-6 p.m., Rosenwald-Smith Multi-Cultural Center, 208 N. Kentucky Ave., Madisonville.
