arrest log blank 05MADISONVILLE, Ky. (4/12/18) — Madisonville Police Department responded to a disturbance at the North Main Street McDonald’s this week that resulted in the arrest of a 50-year-old Nortonville man.

According to the arrest report, Medical Center Ambulance Service told police they were called to the restaurant at 5:51 a.m. Tuesday regarding a man complaining of abdominal pain. Michael G. Davis told ambulance workers that “he was thrown from a moving vehicle (Monday) by Deputy Bailey, at 85 mph,” adding that he was bleeding from his head although no blood was showing and he did not exhibit any signs of trauma.

MPD reported Davis was being verbally combative during their investigation and threatened bodily harm to ambulance personnel. Davis told officers that “all this occurred in Slaughters, KY where he walked from to McDonald’s,” adding that “Deputy Bailey was holding a severed head at one point last date.” Dispatch confirmed the deputy was not on duty Monday.

Officers reported using the soft, empty hand technique to take Davis into custody. Davis caused alarm to restaurant patrons by screaming and yelling as he was led to the cruiser. While at Hopkins County Jail, the man told police he would have his friend cut the officer’s head off.

Davis was charged with public intoxication (excludes alcohol), second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree terroristic threatening. He was listed as being held in the county jail this morning on $2,000 cash bond.
