Adams AMADISONVILLE, Ky. (5/15/18) — City police went to a Hall Street residence at noon Monday to serve a felony warrant, where the wanted teen barricaded herself inside the home in an apparent attempt to avoid arrest.

Madisonville Police Department reported receiving information that Abby Adams, 18, was armed with a handgun. Numerous attempts were made by police to get her to exit the home.

The woman continued to resist for more than an hour, prompting police to call its Emergency Response Team to the scene, according to the report. She surrendered after speaking to a negotiator.

Adams was taken to Hopkins County Jail, where she was listed as being held this morning, pending bond. She was charged with first-degree burglary and resisting arrest.
