UPDATE: NORTONVILLE, Ky. (8/2/18) — A Nortonville couple is safe after their home burned to the ground this morning.

Firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze that broke out after 8 a.m.

Barrett and Cheryl Brewer were inside the home at the time and quickly got out, saying they've lost everything. They did not know what caused the fire at the older, single-story home.

BREAKINGNEWS FIREHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (8/2/18) — Several fire departments have been called out to a house fire at the 2000 block of Red Hill Road in Nortonville this morning.

Nortonville, White Plains and South Hopkins fire departments were responding to the fully involved structure fire at 8:20 this morning. St. Charles Fire Department is on standby. 

According to scanner traffic, fire officials are calling law enforcement for traffic control. The family is outside of the home. Smoke is visible from Nortonville.
