HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (9/13/18) — Mildred Kerr Fox was many things to many people.

She was a wife to Arthur, a mother to “Woodie” and Juanita, grandmother to four and great-grandmother to seven. She taught math at Madisonville North Hopkins High School. She was active at First Baptist Church in Madisonville as a Sunday school teacher and committee member.

She was also a member of the Capt. Stephen Ashby Chapter of the Kentucky Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She attended the meetings of the chapter and supported the projects and activities. As her health declined, she still supported the Chapter in many ways.

Mildred passed away Aug. 5. at the age of 94. The members of the Capt. Stephen Ashby Chapter wanted her memory to live on. A book, Kentucky Women, was donated in her memory to the Hopkins County Library recenlty. Thomas Appleton, Jr, one of the editors, personally signed the book “in memory of Mildred Fox.”
