Earlington 9 19EARLINGTON, Ky. (9/19/18) — A sinkhole disrupted traffic this afternoon along U.S. 41 in Earlington.

The road at mile-marker 12 was closed for a couple of hours while Kentucky Transportation Cabinet crews made repairs. It appeared the asphalt opened up around a manhole in the middle of the intersection. Crews from the city of Earlington and natural gas company workers assisted.

Traffic was detoured around that section of U.S. 41 via I-69 and other routes. The road was reopened to traffic around 3 p.m. today.
