bbq chickenMADISONVILLE, Ky. (10/8/18) — The Madisonville Noon Kiwanis Club plans to hold its annual Fall Fundraiser 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.

This year’s event will take place at Kentucky Innovation Station, 38 W, Arch St. in Madisonville. The Fall Barbeque is one of Kiwanis’ largest fundraisers, which allows the club to continue supplying scholarships to students on the college track.

“We are changing things up a bit this year,” said Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corp. president and Kiwanis board member Ray Hagerman.

He also mentioned the group has its sights set on fitting the needs of the community for the highest margin of success, and the annual barbecue is the means to support local students on their pursuit of a higher education.

Changes to this year’s fall fundraiser include pre-orders, which can be redeemed one of three ways: bulk delivery to a place of business on orders of 10 or larger, pickup at Kentucky Innovation Station the day of the event or eating at the venue with other members of the community, organizers said.

Plates are $8 for an individual order and provide supporters the choice between shredded chicken or pulled pork prepared by Brother’s Bar-B-Que.
