Becker JMADISONVILLE, Ky. (10/11/18) — A former restaurant worker is accused of swiping hundreds of dollars worth of "dough" that had been stashed beneath biscuit trays.

Madisonville Police Department officers responded to a call at South Main Diner Sunday afternoon to investigate the alleged theft.

According to an MPD arrest report, an officer spoke to the restaurant owners, who stated Jennifer Becker, also known as Jennifer L. Ivers, was “caught on camera stealing an envelope” that contained $700. The envelope was taken from beneath the biscuit trays, and then she returned an empty envelope “back with the tray.”

The incident was listed to have occurred 3:06 p.m. Oct. 3 that resulted in the woman’s arrest Wednesday morning at the diner. Becker, 44 of Madisonville, was charged with theft by unlawful taking.

Becker was listed as being held in Hopkins County Jail this evening on $25,750 cash bond related to three Daviess County warrants on the charges of third-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking (more than $10,000), first-degree criminal mischief and theft from a vehicle (less than $500), and an additional $1,000 cash bond, with a local court date of Oct. 19.
