Cultivate copyMADISONVILLE, Ky. (10/22/18) — The Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corp. will host a Cultivating Small Business seminar 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in Room 107 at the Madisonville Community College Steve Beshear Center for Postsecondary Education.

The EDC announced small business owners will have the opportunity to learn about financial options available to them, such as micro-loans, revolving loans, incentives for on-the-job training, tax credits and techniques for determining financial needs. Seating is limited, and registration is free including breakfast and lunch.

Scheduled speakers at Cultivating Small Business include:

• Michael Ashcraft with the U.S. Small Business Administration
• Ron Burkins of Community Ventures
• Robi Fauser-Fink of the USDA
• Amy Frogue, Molly Deahl and Jason Vincent with Pennyrile Area Development District
• Marilyn LeBourveau of the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development
• Chris Woolridge of Murray Small Business Development Center

“This is an impressive lineup of speakers who are assembling to lay out the opportunities and resources available to small business operators in our area,” said EDC president Ray Hagerman. “The seminar will effectively serve as a rare one-stop shop for valuable financial information and networking for small businesses.”
