ChamberMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/9/19) — Local individuals and businesses will be recognized for their contributions to the community during the Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 6th Annual Evening of Stars, presented by Baptist Health Madisonville.

More than 600 nominations were submitted this year, business leaders said.

The following individuals and businesses will be honored during the Feb. 2 awards ceremony:

2018 Horizon Award, for a business in operation three years or less – The UPS Store
2018 Small Business of the Year, for a business with 50 or fewer employees – Hancock Bank & Trust
2018 Business of the Year, for a business with more than 50 employees – Madisonville Community College

2018 Nonprofit of the Year – Habitat for Humanity of Hopkins County
Corum Community Service Award – Barry Eveland
2018 Chamber Ambassador of the Year – Lisa Moberly
Loman C. Trover Healthcare Award – Allen Rudd

“The Chamber’s annual awards are a long-standing tradition,” said Chamber President Leslie Curneal, “and we’re pleased to honor these businesses and individuals during this public celebration, which is made possible by our generous member sponsors, including our presenting sponsor, Baptist Health Madisonville.”

In addition to the awards presentation, attendees will enjoy a prime rib dinner by Catering & Creations, entertainment, and social hour with hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. Appropriate dress for the occasion is black tie optional.

The 6th Annual Evening of Stars public event is 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Ballard Convention Center, 605 E. Arch St. in Madisonville.
