hopkins county sheriff logo 300 x 300HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (5/20/19) — A Madisonville man faces drug trafficking charges after allegedly running from the law over the weekend.

According to a Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Joshua Skinner, 39 of Madisonville, was charged Friday with first-degree fleeing police on foot, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-methamphetamine (less than 2 grams), trafficking in synthetic drugs, possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence.

Skinner, a convicted felon, also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, according to the report. He was additionally served an outstanding warrant on the charge of contempt of court.

He was listed as being held in Hopkins County Jail on $3,692 cash bond this morning.

Mark W. Earl of Providence was charged Sunday with public intoxication.
