ArrestRedCentered 300MADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/17/19) — A Madisonville man said to be on parole stands accused of operating a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation in the region.

According to a Madisonville-Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit report, vice detectives along with Kentucky State Police DESI West and the DEA have been investigating the activity in the Madisonville/Hopkins County area.

Jonathan Pendley, 34, has been identified as the primary target of investigation.

Detectives reported receiving information from numerous sources that “Pendley was distributing large quantities of crystal methamphetamine in the Madisonville/western Kentucky area.”

Confidants purchased crystal meth from Pendley during the investigation, vice reported, and he had a warrant for his arrest on the charge of fourth-degree assault. A traffic stop was made 4 p.m. today in the area of East Center Street in Madisonville to serve that warrant.

Detectives seized about a half-pound of meth from Pendley over the course of the investigation, MPD Detective Bo Crump wrote. Penley was out of prison on parole for the same activity.

Pendley was listed as being held in Hopkins County Jail this evening pending bond on the charge of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth-more than 2 grams/second offense).
