KSP LogoMADISONVILLE, Ky. (6/18/19) — A Kentucky State Police trooper making a traffic stop on a silver Ford Taurus said to be without display of a visible license plate resulted in a Madisonville woman’s arrest.

KSP reported Trooper Brian Graves stopped the driver 10:26 a.m. Sunday in the Earlington area of Kentucky 2171.

While speaking to the driver, identified as 29-year-old Elizabeth Embrey, Graves noted she appeared to be under the influence and could smell marijuana.

Further investigation revealed Embrey was in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, KSP reported.

She was charged with DUI, improper display of registration plate, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in addition to first-degree possession of meth.
