holiday open house2MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/7/19) —The Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce 2019 Holiday Open House is coming up this Friday and Saturday.

Sixty-five participating member businesses will offer two days of discounts and prizes, Chamber president Leslie Curneal reported.

“Holiday Open House is the Chamber’s largest shop-local event of the year," Curneal said. “Shopping small has a significant impact on our community, and when you support our local merchants, you help us build a better quality of life.”

With the support of Independence Bank, 200 lucky shoppers will have a chance to receive a "Local Love" shopping tote full of extra discounts, gift cards and giveaways from Chamber member merchants, Curneal said.

Local Love bags will be given away at the 1776 N. Main St. location of Independence Bank in Madisonville 1-5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday until supplies are gone, the Chamber reported. Each bag is unique with a variety of gift cards, coupons and merchandise valued as much as $500.

The Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce is offering the chance to pick up a “Passport to Savings” at any of the participating businesses to collect stamps where they shop, Curneal explained. Shoppers who collect 10 stamps can register for the grand prize of $250 that will be provided by Independence Bank.

Participants can register for other great prizes at each store, the Chamber said. A complete list of participating businesses and event details can be found on the Chamber’s website at or visit HopkinsChamber on Facebook.
