Madisonville MinersMADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/20/19) — Determined Madisonville managed to outlast visiting Muhlenberg County 8-6 in an Ohio Valley League game at Elmer Kelley Stadium on Friday.

Ryan Pierce started the game on the mound for the Miners. Pierce allowed four hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out eight.

Trey Boren started the game on  the hill for the Stallions. Boren allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out three.

The Miners outhit the Stallions 11-4. Ben Teel, Colton Olasin and Michael Sookdeo each collected multiple hits for the Miners. Teel led Madisonville at the plate, finishing 3-for-3. Another Madisonville batter, Jackson Jarvis, homered in the seventh inning.

Tucker Jordan went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County in the hits column.
