PADUCAH, Ky. (7/22/19) — Madisonville fell short as host Paducah held on to win 12-11 in an Ohio Valley League game at Brooks Stadium on Sunday.
Blake Bagenstos posted the pitching win for the Chiefs. Bagenstos allowed three hits and one run over two innings, striking out three. Another pitcher, Mitch Turner, threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen for the Chiefs.
Colton Olasin suffered the pitching loss for the Miners. Olasin allowed four hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Alan Roden, Brenton Tidd, Drew Hudson and Ja'lil Akbar each collected multiple hits for the Chiefs. Hudson homered for Paducah in the victory. Leading the Chiefs offensively, Roden went 3-for-4 at the plate.
Madisonville lost despite outhitting Paducah 13-11. Charlie Szykowny, Tredell Blow, Jacob Council and Michael Sookdeo each recorded multiple hits for the Miners.
