Daviess County HS logoOWENSBORO, Ky. (2/9/19) — Dakota Walden scored a career-high 43 points to lead Daviess County over visiting Apollo 63-52 in a 9th District boys' basketball game on Friday night.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 10-12 overall and 2-4 in the 9th District.

Apollo dropped to 3-23 overall and 0-6 in the district with the loss.

In addition to his career-high scoring effort, Walden pulled down five rebounds and recorded seven steals.

Apollo took a 29-28 lead into halftime but faltered after the break.

Walden was the only Daviess County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Ryan Thomson tossed in eight points for the Panthers in the victory.

Ryan Ash paced Apollo with 16 points. Narrowly missing double figures for the Eagles, Harrison Bowman and Cameron Frantz netted nine points apiece.
