5a28365011e95MADISONVILLE, KY., — Samuel Leon Vannoy, 74, of Madisonville passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Baptist Health Madisonville. He was born in Madisonville, KY on December 10, 1942 to the late Samuel Cleo and Jewell Pearl Eastwood Vannoy. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Vannoy enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center in Madisonville. He had worked in the street department for the City of Earlington for 42 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte Boze Vannoy, by his second wife Lena Vannoy, 2 daughters Janice Wilkes and April Schmaltz, and his brother Sidney Vannoy.

Mr. Vannoy is survived by 4 daughters Bonnie Cobb of Greenville, KY, Teresa Seavers of Mayfield, KY, Tammy Vannoy of Hazard, KY, and Stephanie Gary of Madisonville, KY, 8 sons Jeffery Vannoy of Madisonville, KY, Barry Vannoy of Madisonville, KY, Jerry Vannoy of Madisonville, KY, Anthony Vannoy of Dawson Springs, KY, Michael Vannoy of Louisville, KY, Thomas Vannoy of Earlington, KY, Richard Vannoy of Madisonville, KY, and Christopher Vannoy of Madisonville, KY, 30 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11am at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, KY with Bro. Glen Holifield officiating and burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington, KY.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4pm until 7pm and from 9am until service time on Friday at the Funeral Home.
