4505695MADISONVILLE, KY., — Virginia S. Riggs, 74, of Madisonville passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Brighton Cornerstone Healthcare in Madisonville. She was born on August 24, 1943 in Evansville, IN to the late Gladys and Herbert Brown. Virginia attended Hanson Baptist Church in Hanson, KY. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David Carrol Riggs, an infant daughter, and her brother Jack Brown.

Survivors include her daughter Christine Chaney and husband Curtis of Nortonville, KY, sons Nathan Riggs and wife Judy and Michael Riggs, both of Belton, KY, sister Susan Vandiver and husband Robert of Madisonville, 2 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Bro. Shawn Vickery officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1pm until the funeral hour Sunday at the funeral home.
