4824728 fbsvet ffffffHANSON, KY., — Keith Edwin Brown, 92, of Hanson passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Eddie Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

He was born on December 20, 1925 in Hanson to the late Georgie Brown and Smith Waller Brown. Keith was a United States Army WWII Veteran serving with the 37th Infantry Division. He was a retired farmer and was a rural mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. Keith attended the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nora Katheryn Brown, brother's Hugh Brown and James T. Brown, and his sister Ruth Brown.

Survivors include his son Dr. Terry E. Brown and wife Jamie of Hanson, and his granddaughters Katelyn Brown JD and Dr. Karah Brown both of Lexington, KY.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Dr. Monroe Slaton officiating. Burial to follow at Hanson Cemetery in Hanson with military rites conducted graveside by the Hopkins County Honor Guard.

The visitation will be from 11am until the funeral hour Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Harry Brown, Jimmy Eastwood, Joey Jewell, David Baldwin, Butch Clayton and Joe Melton.

Memorial contributions may be made in Keith's memory to the Eddie Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center or the Hopkins County Humane Society.
