Vannoy SEARLINGTON, Ky. (2/14/19) — Sandra Kay Howton Vannoy, 71 of Earlington, passed away Wednesday at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born Feb. 24, 1947 in Charleston to the late William Audrey Howton and Mary Olivine Gunther Howton. Vannoy was a CNA and worked in several area nursing homes. Additionally, she worked for a canning firm in Earlington for many years, and was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church.

She is survived by daughters LaDonna Kay (J.T.) Lee of White Plains, Stacy (Jon) Harrell of Madisonville, Christy (David) Law of Earlington and Shellie (Kyle) Rambo of Ilsley; son Timmy (Lori) Vannoy of Earlington; brothers Larry Howton of Hopkinsville, Billy (Judy) Howton of Madisonville; sisters Joyce (Ray) Doss of Madisonville, Rhonda (Billy) Wall of Barnsley, Barbara Wall of Ilsley and Mary Knight of Dawson Springs. Vannoy had 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 49 years, Sydney Vannoy, who departed Dec. 26, 2012.

Visitation is 11 a.m. Saturday until the funeral service set for 2 p.m. at Praise Temple Apostolic Church, 725 W. Noel Ave. in Madisonville. Rev. Philip Cook, Rev. Brad Giffin and Rev. Monty Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington.

Pallbearers are Chris Lee, Josh Vannoy, Jake Law, Jonathan Harrell, Blake Harrell, Jericho Vannoy and Jordan Harrell. Honorary Pallbearers include Jayden Law, Lucas Rambo and Elliott Law.
