HCHS ColonelsHENDERSON, Ky. (9/16/19) — Henderson County returned to the win column on Monday, shutting out visiting Union County 10-0 in a 6th District girls' soccer match.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 8-4-3 overall and 2-0-0 in the district.

Union County stumbled to 2-7-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the district with the loss.

Cecilia Palummo scored four goals to lead Henderson County to the district win. Finishing directly behind Palummo in scoring for the Lady Colonels, Nadia Gilbert added three goals.

Remi Bryant, Maggie Sauer and Isabella McChessney netted one goal apiece for the Lady Colonels.

McChessney distributed four assists while Abbey Roberts delivered two assists in Henderson County's victory.

Chipping in offensively for the Lady Colonels, Jaylynn Lyons Ilana Hall and Reese Crafton finished with one assist apiece.

Defensively for Henderson County, goalkeepers Ashby Greenwell and Chloe Honeycutt combined to register two saves and notch a shutout.
