KVCALEXINGTON, Ky. (7/24/19) — The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association has announced its 2019 KVCA Team Academic Award winners.

Through a Signature Affiliate Partnership with the American Volleyball Coaches Association, the teams being recognized were able to maintain academic excellence for the entire 2018-19 academic schoolyear. To qualify, teams must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Nominations for the award took place throughout the month of June and were accepted by the AVCA.

The winners of the 2019 KVCA Team Academic Award were as follows: Breathitt County (Coach - Stephen Bowling), Bryan Station (Coach - Hilary McKenzie), Caldwell County (Coach - Daniel Cortner), Cooper (Coach - Michelle Isaac), Covington Latin (Coach - Darlene Bossert), Danville Christian Academy (Coach - Jeannie Hurst), Fulton City (Coach - Chad Malray), Henry Clay (Coach - Dale Grupe), Leslie County (Coach - Lisa Wilson), Lexington Christian Academy (Coach - Kirby Willoughby), Valley (Coach - Charles Scott), Notre Dame Academy (Coach - Molly McDermott), Paintsville (Coach - Dawn Kinner), Ryle (Coach - Tasha Tanner-Lovins), Sacred Heart Academy (Coach - Brett Versen), Scott County (Coach - Adam Ivetic), Scott High (Coach - Andrea Sullivan), Trinity Boys (Coach - Kelly Gillooly), Walton-Verona (Coach - Angela Hummeldorf), West Jessamine (Coach - William Bird).
