jeremy meadowsUPDATE: WESTERN KENTUCKY (12/8/17) —A Murray woman has been charged in connection with the escape/walkoff of a Marshall County inmate yesterday.

Kentucky State Police charged Tammy C. Lamb, 44 of Murray with second-degree escape. She is being held in the Marshall County Jail.

Police say Lambe picked up Jeremy L. Meadows in a 1998 Chevy SUV after he walked off from a work detail around 3:30 p.m. The vehicle was located at Lamb's Ledbetter Road, Calloway County residence. Calloway County Sheriff's Department assisted KSP.

Police are still searching for Meadows and asking for the public's assistance in locating him. Read below for the original story.


WESTERN KENTUCKY (12/7/17) — Kentucky State Police are searching for an inmate that walked off from a work detail today in Marshall County.

KSP said Jeremy L. Meadows, 27, left the work assignment at approximately 10 a.m. His last known address is Water Valley, which is in Graves County.

KSP said Meadows got into a gold or silver late 1990s or early 2000s Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban.

Meadows is described as being a white male, weighing approximately 140 pounds, 6 foot tall with blue eyes and short, brown hair. He has numerous tattoos including horn tattoos on each facial temple. KSP said Meadows is to be considered dangerous and should not be approached.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.  Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app.  The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores.

The investigation is continuing by Trooper Mike Ray.
