road closeMCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (8/8/18) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed a section of Kentucky 1046 in McLean County due to a damaged bridge structure.

Kentucky 1046 is closed at milepoint  4.7 northeast of Calhoun due to erosion damage to the support structure of the Long Falls Creek Bridge.

The bridge will be barricaded and will remain closed while engineers make a more extensive review of the bridge structure to determine if it can be repaired or should be replaced.

During that engineering evaluation the bridge will remain closed until further notice.

About 450 vehicles normally travel the section of Kentucky 1046 at the Long Falls Creek Bridge in McLean County in an average day.
