muhl mustangs1 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (1/29/20) — Nash Divine scored 20 points to lead Muhlenberg County over visiting Butler County 71-65 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

Muhlenberg County improved to 11-10 with the win.

With the loss, Butler County dropped to 16-5.

Accompanying Divine in double figures for the Mustangs, Cole Vincent contributed 12 points and Noah Phillips posted 10 points.

Muhlenberg County shot 48.3 percent (28-of-58) from the field. The Mustangs were 8-of-15 (53.3 percent) from 3-point range. 

The Mustangs moved ahead early, outscoring Butler County 21-12 in the opening quarter. Muhlenberg County led 32-27 at halftime and managed to edge the visiting team 18-17 in the final frame.

Parker Rice led Butler County with a game-high 28 points. Joining Rice in double figures for the Bears, Jagger Henderson netted 11 points and Leevi McMillin added 10 points.
