mclean chamberCALHOUN, Ky. (7/26/19) — McLean County Chamber members learned about the types of clients seen at Gray Counseling in Calhoun during the chamber’s monthly luncheon meeting Thursday.

Annie Gray spoke to the members in the chamber loft on Main Street about the types of services offered as well as the volume of clients seen at her office, also on Main Street in Calhoun.

In the last four years, 715 clients have been served at the center with a 58-percent increase in traffic over last year, said Gray. Due to the increase, the office is expanding into the space next door to accommodate more offices and a sensory room in the front.

Clients range in age from 3 years to their 80s, said Gray. Anxiety, depression, grief and loss and those in the autism spectrum are some of the counseling types offered.

Last year, Gray Counseling hosted a self defense class that she hopes to organize again this year due to the overwhelming interest from area residents.

Chamber President Amanda Dame reminded members about the chamber's Sept. 6 golf tournament at Ben Hawes Parks.

The next chamber meeting will be noon Thursday, Aug. 22 in the chamber loft with Henry Sandefuer of Green River Solutions presenting the program.
