McLean County SealMCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (10/21/19) — McLean County Judge-Executive Edward W. West has lifted the countywide burn ban effective today.

The judge said measurable precipitation received in McLean County has alleviated fire hazards previously in place.

Per Kentucky Forestry Division, the fire hazard season is still in effect through Dec. 15. It is unlawful for anyone to set a fire within 150 feet of brush or wooded areas. Burning is prohibited 6 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, and when the ground is snow-covered.
