DameMCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (11/7/19) — Republican Curtis Dame won a special election Tuesday and will assume the role as McLean County Judge-Executive Jan. 1.

Dame defeated Democrat Earl Melloy and current Judge-Executive Edward West, who ran as a Republican write-in candidate.

The Rumsey resident currently serves as a Hopkins County Extension Agent in Madisonville.

“I am humbled by the results,” Dame said, who received 1,554 votes over Melloy’s 1,301 and West’s 656 write-ins.

Dame plans to make all McLean countians proud, saying he will work honestly in the county’s top government office.
