lil rager run photoBREMEN, Ky. (7/29/17) — It was 76 degrees as a sea of orange shirts left the Front Porch Grill area on motorcycles for the second annual Lil’ Rager’s Run earlier today.

Hundreds were gathered in the parking lot this morning and put their kickstands up after the blessings of the bikes.

The motorcycle train headed west on Kentucky 81 as bikers and riders make their ways around an approximate 75-mile course gathering cards to develop poker hands and return to the starting point.

A couple tables and cornhole boards raised several hundred dollars during a live auction prior to the departure of the bikes. The bikers delayed their starts as a sign of respect for a funeral process that would be in the area during the early part of their rides.

Muhlenberg Superintendent of Schools Robbie Davis addressed the riders and thanked them for participating in the fundraising event and assured everyone that every dollar raised goes to children in Muhlenberg Schools.

Organizers Paul and Donna Rager, parents of the late Dakota Lil’ Rager, have been hosting fundraisers in memory of their son since his untimely death in November 2015.

They remember their son as the most generous, kind-hearted and fun loving person they knew. Many friends and family are part of the fundraising efforts to “make something good” come out of Dakota’s passing.

Tonight, there will be karaoke and bike games. For those that don’t ride, there will be a day long silent auction and a cornhole tournament at 4 p.m.
